At its Organizational Meeting, the Board of Education elected the following officers
for 2013: Secretary Cathy Hoppough, President Karen Balice Gregory, Vice President
Roger Hull, and Treasurer Sheri Scheurer.
Standing are Trustees Dave O'Mara, Sandra Townsend, and Walt Downes.
Board of Education
Our Board of Education is responsible for the formulation and adoption of policies consistent with the laws governing public education as set forth in the Michigan Constitution and other legislative acts. All meetings of the local board are open to the public. Generally, the board meets the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in MCC Room 304 of the Ionia Educational Center. Regular attendance at board meetings is the best way to be informed about major decisions affecting the Ionia Public Schools.
